Stephen Joseph Gifts, 2015
Using the factory’s standard rhinestone stickers, I designed these Keepsake Boxes with Stephen Joseph’s most popular characters (owl, ladybug, butterfly, and castle). Each set came with sheets of rhinestones in different shapes and sizes (and extras!) for the perfect customized keepsake box! The packaging is completed with Stephen Joseph’s yellow-striped branding with product photos I took and Photoshopped in front of a child’s photo.

One of the ways Texas PTA supports their Local Leaders is to provide BASICS Resource Guides for each leadership position. Along with the inside, the covers are updated with a new look every year. These booklets debuted at LAUNCH and are available online for the rest of the school year. Designs shown above are from 2018-2019.

Texas PTA, July 2019
Parents, teachers, administrators, and students gathered at the Gaylord Texan in Grapevine to commemorate the start of their PTA school year. With over 120 sessions to choose from, LAUNCH is the best place for PTA Leaders to connect and collaborate. This was my second year of LAUNCH! I was prepared in a way, but I was still blown away by the high energy this conference brings.
I used a few icons as the primary focus for this year’s LAUNCH. Using a pattern with different color schemes, this branding was translated to different designs such as social media posts, the event program, posters, and 3D displays for over 3,000 attendees.

I love interactive and multi-use pieces; design that keeps you intrigued and your eyes and hands moving. At the time, I designed this piece to test out Texas PTA’s new cutting machine – the Duplo! The best part was the personalization for each PTA. My supervisor liked it so much that we decided to distribute this piece to every Local PTA.
Since our cutting machine only cut and creased, the staff had to fold these. Ten brochures for every PTA in Texas. Over 1800 PTAs! … 1800 PTAs x 10 brochures = 18,000 brochures, which all needed to be in sequential order. Our printer, cutting machine, and staff worked nonstop for over a week folding these by hand. This project gave me a bigger appreciation of our staff (and a manicure). This was definitely a learning experience for me when it came to in-house production.
After the 18,000 brochure run, we began selling this item on our online store later that year.

Texas PTA proudly presents certificates to their Local PTAs for achieving membership goals. I designed all 28 award icons and used InDesign’s Data Merge feature to create ~1900 custom certificates.

Every other year, Texas PTA reevaluates and selects its legislative priorities. I collaborated with our Communications team to create branding for seven legislative priorities.
Last February, more than 2,500 advocates raised their voices at the Texas State Capitol. I designed several campaigns around Texas PTA’s 86th legislative priorities and event materials for Rally Day.

With the guidance of the Member Services team, I refreshed a packet that was distributed to the Local PTAs annually. The goal was to create excitement for the beginning of the school year for the newly-appointed Local Leaders.
I used InDesign’s Data Merge feature to create custom booklets for 1900 Local PTAs.

I drew inspiration from Texas PTA’s home based in Austin. Although the pencil was erased from the original sketch, Texas PTA’s iconic arched doorway frames the whole design. The arched doorway represents the long-standing history of Texas PTA as many important figures walked through those doors with one mission in mind — to make every child’s potential a reality.

As the Product Development Assistant, I usually did packaging or used pre-designed elements and incorporated them into different products, but this project was one I actually drew characters for the company! Each puppet was double-sided to show either a different action or emotion in the same die-cut shapes (for example, happy dragon vs. fire-breathing dragon!). Using the factory's standard sticker pieces (rhinestones or foam shapes), I designed the interlocking stages for each set (castle and ship). The packaging itself had the usual Stephen Joseph branding of yellow stripes with product photos Photoshopped in front of the stock images.
